Smith challenging for British rookie record
Posted on Oct 23, 2013 by George Penny
Monster Yamaha Tech 3 MotoGP rookie Bradley Smith has scored 99 points so far this season.
If the Englishman can score another seven points, in the two remaining races, he will become the highest-scoring British rider in their rookie MotoGP campaign.
The record is currently held by James Toseland, who scored 105 points in the 2008 world championship, also for Tech 3.
Smith, who will remain at Tech 3 next year, is currently tenth in the world championship with a best race finish of sixth (three times).
