Bradley Smith and ONE Energy Racing ready for double challenge at Misano

The MotoE World Cup holds its first double header event this weekend at the San Marino Grand Prix in Misano. Bradley Smith, second in the overall standings, is aiming to reduce the 5-point gap between him and the series leader, and comes into the event having participated in the Moto2 British Grand Prix a fortnight ago as a replacement rider for Khairul Idham Pawi for PETRONAS Sprinta Racing.
The ONE Energy Racing rider has been on the podium in the first two MotoE races this debut season and is chasing his first win in the class. Smith also has fond memories of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, as in 2015 he achieved his second podium in the MotoGP class there with a second place. He also has two pole positions in 125cc at Misano, in 2009 and 2010.
The schedule for the weekend sees E-Pole held on Friday at 4:05pm local time, after two Free Practice sessions in the morning. The races themselves will take place on Saturday at 4:15pm and Sunday at 10:05am.
Bradley Smith:
"I am very excited about Misano. We are second in the championship and this weekend we have two races. I come into this one after participating in the Moto2 World Championship, so I am more motivated and fit to face this new challenge in the MotoE World Cup. We have to try to score the maximum amount of points at this event in San Marino. We have already taken a second place and a third, so it would be great to finish the weekend with at least one victory. The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is a track that I like and at which I have already ridden during the summer in some tests with the MotoGP bike, so I feel prepared."
