Bradley fights to 6th

Even though the skies remained grey above the Motorland circuit and the temperatures low on the ground, the 125cc riders were able to enjoy two fully dry sessions today. The weather forecast is predicting even better conditions tomorrow for a race that sees Marc Márquez start from pole position. Bancaja Aspar rider Nico Terol is also on the front row alongside surprises packages Sandro Cortese and Efren Vázquez.
Whilst his best time of 1'59.970 was enough for third place on the grid his race pace throughout practice has been up amongst the best, with a consistent rhythm of low 2'00 laps, and the Spaniard is looking to mount another challenge for victory. His team-mate Bradley Smith starts from the second row and despite lapping a second off the pole man today he is hoping to take advantage of crucial slipstreams around this circuit to stay in touch.
6th Bradley Smith 2.00.417 (16 laps): "It's strange because when I got off the bike at the end of the session I felt good but on the timing sheets I'm only sixth. I feel good riding my Aprilia and that's a good sign but I'll need to make a good start to make sure I don't lose touch with the front group. We need to improve in a few areas but overalll I'm satisfied with the performanc eof the bike. Our setting works better on used rubber so if I can stay in touch over the first few laps I should get more comfortable as the race goes on. I am a second off pole but I don't think it's a massive difference at this circuit and it will be more equal in the race because of the slipstreams."
